Woodstock DWI Lawyer: Mark Kaplan's DUI

Tue, 25 Nov 2014 02:38:03 GMT

Woodstock DWI Lawyer: During late November, 2014, high Profile Lawyer to the Celebrities Mark Kaplan was arrested for DWI. Kaplan was stopped by law enforcement on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California. Kaplan unwisely agreed to perform the roadside gymnastics referred to as the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs).

As you can see on the video, the Officer administering the walk and turn failed to do so properly. The administrator of the walk and turn should advise "When you turn, keep the front foot on the line, and turn by taking a series of small steps with the other foot, like this." (Demonstrate) The officer merely turned around. When Kaplan mimicked his faulty instruction, Kaplan stepped off the line. Kaplan's misstep must be attributed to the incorrect demonstration and instruction.

As the instructions state: "This validation applies ONLY when the tests are adminstered in the prescribed, standardized manner . . . If any one of the standardized field sobriety test elements is changed, the validity is compromised. " Obviously incorrect administration compromised the test validity.

Woodstock DWI Lawyer: Kaplan is not a DWI lawyer; he has been a Divorce Lawyer for 40 years. In 2007 Kaplan came to the Public's attention when he was counsel for Kevin Federline during Federline's divorce from Britney Spears. Kaplan also represented Chris Judd in Judd's divorce from Jennifer Lopez. Currently, Kaplan is representing Stephen Collins in his divorce from Faye Grant. Grant has released an audiotape which contains statements, allegedly by Collins, confessing to molesting children.
